The Finals of the Cup.
Vs Cherubs
Venue: Kodak Sport Centre Harrow.
At the start we were understandably a bit nervous and so were Cherubs. The tense first half ended goalless although Kene missed a good chance in the very first minute of play. On resumption of the game we conceded a free kick just outside the eighteen yard box which was taken very well by Cherubs to go ahead 1-0. Cherubs took over control of the midfield and we had to battle really had but were second best for most balls. An inspirational 10 minutes from Jesus House especially Ikenna Ene saw us take the lead 2-1 with Ikenna scoring both goals. There were to be further twist in the match as Cherubs pushed men forward and we did not respond well enough and this resulted in their equaliser with about three minutes of play left. Incredibly we conceded a corner kick which we did not defend properly and they scored the winning goal almost immediately. With little or no time left it was too late to respond and we had to settle for second place. We were very proud of the players and their efforts. WELL DONE.
