Character. That is the best way to describe our performance in this match. NLA started very purposeful which was expected considering we (according to them) unexpectedly beat them the previous week. We were second best initially (in the first half) and they capitalise on sloppy play to score the first goal before half time.
We conceded a 2nd goal midway into the 2nd half from a set play, a direct free kick! With 10/15 minutes to go JHFC were 2 goals down. This is where we showed a lot of character. We changed the system by replacing Wagner with Charles and played 3 upfront. This paid dividends as Toks scored from a shot in their penalty box. We continued to pile the pressure while they resorted to gamesmanship and time wasting. Our efforts were finally rewarded when Demola hooked a ball into the net with just seconds to go. Credit to the referee for good time keeping.
