Jesus House Football club is a member of the Football for Christ Championship (FCC) and affiliated to the London Football Association.
Each year we participate in the FCC league competition and finished in second position last season (2004/2005).We also participate in other competitions before and after the league championship.
For the 2006/07 season we play our home games at Ealing Central Playing Ground, Perivale, London and travel all over London for our away games. The league involves different churches from all over London and it is a good way of meeting and networking with other Christians.
We take our games very seriously and have a well-organised training structure and regime for the whole season, which requires commitment from both players and staff.
Our main objective is to run a group of God-fearing 'young' men who not only enjoy playing the game of football but also forged strong relationships amongst themselves. These players comprise both members and non-members of Jesus House Church.
One of our key objectives is to recruit non-Christians into our team and use our common love for the game of football as a means to introduce Christ to the recruit.
Our greatest joy is to see one of our recruits in church. This beats scoring the winner in the finals!
Would moving kids' football to a summer game help improve the development of young footballers?
Yes - better pitches mean a better chance to develop technique/skills
No - wouldn't make any real difference to development
Maybe - but I'd be worried about more injuries on firm pitches
